Firefect, the perfect training solution, has openings in April 2020 for Confined Space Training public courses.
This introductory course is a requirement for those who work in and around confined spaces.
This Confined Space Training course provides an introduction to participants to the hazards common to working in confined spaces and legislation related to high risk work. Also covered in this course is the duties of a standby person, gas testing atmospheres and working with permits to enter. In addition, use of associated personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as identification of its limitations will also be covered.
Participants will also gain experience in using various pieces of confined space entry equipment including tripods, davits, personal winches, RPDs, spreader bars, retrieval SRLs and full body harnesses. Administrative tasks such as performing risk assessments and installation of control measures also form part of the course.
